Caddie has reported that Caddie 9 has been successfully accepted by users in South Africa, the UK and other countries throughout the world.

The company also held its annual Gauteng user group meeting at the Volkswagen Marketing Conference Centre in Midrand at the end of February, and received a good turnout of Caddie users and exhibitors. Caddie also announced that its user base can look forward to a mid-year V9.1 release with even more functionality in addition to the usual new major release at the end of the year.

Amongst others, new features in V9.0 include: non-proportional scaling, a completely new DWG/DXF drawing translator, dynamic zoom and pan on non-wheel mouse and pen stylists, batch conversions, multiple datum levels, area add and new measure commands for marked elements. In addition there are new commands in the industry specific applications such as Get functions for Doors and Windows, Roof plans, cavity in section, as well as Steel beams and bracing, cat ladders, handrails and steel truss generation.

Caddie will also be exhibiting at the Computer Faire in Sandton in May 2003. The exhibition will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre and Caddie will be in Hall 1, on stand number A35.
