30 CAD/CAM/CAE software solutions have received the coveted 'Certified select' status on Solid Edge Version 10. Each earned the 'Certified select' status within the Solid Edge Voyager Program by delivering the highest levels of integrated solutions to meet the diverse needs of mechanical designers engaged in every stage of the product development process.

Solid Edge Voyager Program members that have already passed the thorough product testing and integration measurement standards include: Alamar Systems with ASAP, ALGOR with DesignPlus, Ansys with DesignSpace and BCT Technology with 3D Pool

"Our mission with Solid Edge is to deliver a whole product solution, from the powerful modeling capabilities of CAD throughout the product development cycle," says Bill McClure, Director of the Solid Edge line of business at UGS. "Solid Edge Version 10 is now shipping, along with these 32 certified solutions. We are in sync with our partners, meeting the needs of our customers to reduce the time it takes to get products to market."

Certified select members with Solid Edge provide engineering solutions for development of products such as machinery, electromechanical equipment and automotive tooling. Currently, there are more than 150 complementary solutions available from the Voyager Program that cover disciplines such as finite element analysis, computer-aided manufacturing, product data management, kinematics and standard parts.

Solid Edge's large installed base continued to grow at double-digit rates. That growth opened demand and opportunity for a wide range of complementary engineering software products. The Voyager Program contributes to Solid Edge's 'whole product' delivery by offering complete solutions. Designers of machinery, for example, complement Solid Edge with Voyager Program certified applications for stress analysis, standard parts, catalogue parts, motion analysis, product data management, engineering calculations, web publishing and collaboration.
