AutoCAD 2002 enjoys good sales

Autodesk's latest release of AutoCAD, Release 2002, and its complementary vertical product family are selling strong. In addition to 500+ new features added to AutoCAD and AutoCAD-based products since Release 14, the new 2002 release is more than 30% faster than R14 or R2000, says the company. The 2002 has been designed to specifically support collaborative teamwork across the Internet and intranets and provides compatibility with existing CAD data.
Products based on the AutoCAD 2002 platform include AutoCAD 2002, AutoCAD LT 2002, Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3.3, AutoCAD Mechanical 6, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 6, Autodesk Map 5 and Autodesk Land Desktop 3.
Features are:
* True associative dimensions that attach to objects.
* Dimension model space objects in paper space.
* Change text justification and set relative text size between model and paper space.
* Export drawings in XML format.
* Display hidden lines in colour and with linetypes.
