End-to-end manufacturing solution slashes engineering cycles

A completely integrated manufacturing solution - from conceptual design to finite element analysis (FEA) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) - is helping to reduce engineering cycle times.
Partners offering the collaborative solution are Autodesk manufacturing reseller, Caddman, FEA specialist, Resonant Solutions, and CAD/CAM authority, Aztech. The trio has integrated its software - premier mechanical design solution, Autodesk Inventor, desktop analysis program, COSMOS/DesignSTAR, and EdgeCAM Solid Machinist - giving manufacturers a total end-to-end solution.
Autodesk Inventor is a full-function, 3D, mechanical design solution that facilitates easy transition from 2D to 3D. It offers Internet-based collaboration and unique adaptive technology, which enables designers to determine function before form. The capabilities of COSMOS/DesignStar include linear and non-linear analysis, contact analysis, fluid flow analysis, and electromagnetics investigations. In addition to valuable automatic feature recognition, EdgeCAM Solid Machinist reduces the number of key-ins required, thereby saving time.
The three-program manufacturing solution is suitable for use in industrial plants, for developing industrial machinery, in water treatment, materials handling, and for general mechanical and industrial design. Its capabilities are ideal for the development of large assemblies and the creation of components.
