SolidCAM achieves Certified Gold Product status

1 February 2003

SolidCAM, a fully integrated computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software product from SolidCAM, recently achieved Certified Gold Product status for SolidWorks 2003. SolidCAM provides a seamless, single-window integration to SolidWorks, and is fully associative with SolidWorks geometry. The combined SolidWorks and SolidCAM solution allows users to optimise their CNC-programming process, resulting in faster time-to-market and greater profits for manufacturing organisations and machine shops.
"We are very excited to achieve Certified Gold Product status," said Dr Emil Somekh, founder and managing director of SolidCAM. "The combined power of the SolidWorks and SolidCAM solution provides the best mainstream CAD/CAM solution for manufacturing in the market today."
"Now more than ever, manufacturers need to generate accurate toolpaths in a timely manner," said Brian Houle, manager of the SolidWorks Solution Partner Program. Knowledge-based machining processes in SolidCAM enable the user to capture and store machining methods and procedures. Manufacturing can be automated and all shop personnel can benefit from the expertise of the most skilled programmer who creates the manufacturing knowledge database.
