Te Connectivity Rz Pcb Relays Datasheet

What does RZ mean in relay protection

The RZ relay range is comprised of single-pole relays with normally open or changeover contacts. The rated coil power is 400 mW. Engineering use: Relays are used on feeders, transformers, buses, motors, generators, and transmission lines to protect equipment and improve system. The protection and control devices in electrical equipment can be referred to by numbers, with appropriate suffix letters when necessary, according to the functions they perform. These numbers are based on a system that is adopted by a standard for automatic switchgear by Institute of Electrical. In the design of electrical power systems, the ANSI Standard Device Numbers denote what features a protective device supports (such as a relay or circuit breaker). The functional requirements of the relay: The most important requisite of the protective relay is reliability since they supervise the circuit for a. There are two methods for indicating protection relay functions in common use. One is given in ANSI Standard and uses a numbering system for various functions. The functions are supplemented by letters where amplification of the function is required.
