Zinc Plated Belize Cable Trays Turkey

Do galvanized cable trays lack a zinc coating

Galvanized ladder cable trays undergo zinc coating after the manufacturing process. These trays typically use Q235 steel as the base material, formed through cold bending and welding into ladder structures before receiving galvanization treatment for enhanced corrosion resistance. The galvanization process is the primary anti-corrosion treatment for cable trays. The following provides a comprehensive explanation, covering standards, ranges, testing, and special application. Hot-dip galvanization involves immersing the cable tray in molten zinc, creating a robust zinc-iron alloy coating. While it offers less corrosion resistance than hot-dip galvanization. This article explains where hot-dip galvanized cable trays perform best, how engineers should select appropriate zinc coating thicknesses (45–100 µm), and when HDG should be upgraded to stainless steel cable tray systems. HDG is one of the most durable solutions for harsh environments.
