Multifunction, wide-format system

1 April 2003

Océ's TDS range of technical document systems is specifically designed to handle the valuable technical information of architecture, engineering and construction customers. They closely focus on cost control and efficiency in their primary processes, while searching for ways to innovate and increase development of new projects.
Océ has the services, the software and the hardware to assist these customers achieve the increase in development they are looking for. Technical documents come in many formats: hard copy and digital; raster and vector; HPGL/2 and PDF; and travel via fax, post or Web. The Océ TDS400 provides the means to handle them all. In its full multifunctional configuration, the system provides printing, as well as copying and scan-to-file at the scanner, ensuring that one can handle documents, regardless of their format.
In the architectural, engineering and construction markets the traditional tendering process of clear project stages is changing to the design-build concept: Architect, constructor and main contractor often start working together as a team in the early stages of a project. The key advantage with this new form of collaboration is that construction and design can take place concurrently. Web technologies and portals are facilitating this trend. Documents still play an important role but in a different context. The Océ TDS400 offers affordable work group printing and viewing software at point of use.
In addition, the industry is still strongly paper oriented. As documents are electronically created there is still the need to convert this information on to paper and back again to the electronic format when required. Making sure that the right document is used in the right place can prevent costly failures and liability issues. The Océ TDS range offers productive, state-of-the-art printing, copying, scanning systems with a low cost per print.
