Durable outdoor printing

1 April 2003

Perfectly suited to South Africa's high UV index, Océ's range of Arizona wide-format outdoor printers offer outdoor durability combined with high production print speeds. Océ Arizona printers use solvent-based inks that are specially formulated to resist fading.
The Océ Arizona 500 is a production-grade inkjet printer for outdoor applications. With print speeds of up to 46,5 m/h plus an apparent 600 dpi output, the Océ Arizona 500 offers high speed, high quality and outdoor durability. It produces high quality output, from big, vivid graphics to small text-even reversed text on four-colour black. Advanced technology features further optimise output quality to virtually eliminate any visual banding.
These include four print heads per colour - or 504 nozzles per colour - to deliver high-speed printing. Piezo technology print heads are known for their reliability and for their ability to print faster than thermal print heads. In addition, the Océ Arizona 500 accepts a variety of uncoated substrates up to 190,5 cm in a roll-to-roll configuration.
The Océ Arizona 500 features ColorBlend 6-colour (Super-CMYK) printing technology for near-continuous tone printing. This printing technology uses the light cyan and light magenta channels to create a smoother appearance in the light and midtone colours, a wider colour gamut and crisper detail. The Océ Arizona 500 is just one of a range of outdoor durable inkjet printers, from roll-to-roll to flatbed and in a range of widths from 137,2 to 190,5 cm.
