The Epson Stylus Pro 9000 is claimed to bring high photographic quality as well as laser share text and line-art without sacrificing productivity.

Epson's extensive array of professional media ensures the best possible output quality from the Epson Stylus Pro 9000. Standard paper types include photo glossy paper, photo semi-glossy paper, semi-glossy heavyweight paper, presentation matte, blacklight film and 1,5 mm poster board.

Following in the footsteps of the Epson Stylus Pro 5000, this wide format printer features the company's proprietary Micro Piezo dual density droplet (DX3) print technology. DX3 consists of several key elements, including ASIC-assisted true 1440 x 720 dpi resolution, a precise and consistent dot size and an innovative six-colour, high-capacity, quick-drying system (cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, light magenta and black). Each individual cartridge holds up to 220 ml of ink, enabling unattended overnight operation.

The printer incorporates the company's new DC-based motor technology which allows for superior print engine accuracy while incorporating the Micro Piezo DX3 print head technology. This results in prints that are free of banding even during bi-directional printing modes.

This printer may also be equipped with an optional 44" take-up reel system for complete unattended operation. With two and three inch core media spindle compatibility, the Epson Stylus Pro 9000 can also accommodate even the most demanding media requirements.
