Omnigraphics Express in Cape Town has installed an Encad NovaJet 1000i specifically to meet a growing demand for backlit signage.

According to managing director, Francois Mans, his decision to purchase the NovaJet 1000i was based on many years of experience with Encad printers. The main factors which played a role in the decision in favour of the NovaJet 1000i was the fact that it has a 1,5 m base width allowing wider format signage to be played out and, the fact that a number of features of the machine have been enhanced compared to previous NovaJet models, not the least of which is the ink-handling, which is now a completely clean and simple process.

Says Mans, "Encad has cleaned up the operation of the machine with the design of the NovaJet 1000i, and it is now simple to use. Also, the six-colour printing makes it much better for work with gradation especially for skin tones. The Encad printers are workhorses and this is no different. The Encad is the sort of machine you will always need to have and will always have in this type of business."
