Océ goes super wide format with JETi

1 August 2005

Océ South Africa is pleased to introduce the Gandinnovations JETi range of super wide-format solvent inkjet printers to the South African market.
The JETi range features unique components such as the new Spectra printheads that are designed to handle larger pigment particles, which allows great colour saturation while maintaining production speeds and resulting in vibrant colours.
Other components include Mesh Adaptors, an ink by-pass system, a smooth ink flow, intuitive user interface, Hi and Low vacuum systems, an advanced material handling system and a Unique Power Supply system.
The JETi 3300 printer offers 4 colour/6 colour combination and 300/600 dpi resolution with speeds in 6 colour at 45 square metres per hour.
It is a dye sublimation printer for textile transfer printing and direct to fabric printing at up to 60 square metres per hour.
The JETi 5000 is a five-metre wide solvent inkjet printer with six colours and 50% more Spectra print heads, print speeds of up to 70 square metres per hour in six-colour mode. This is the first five-metre printer that can actually achieve high quality graphics five metres wide. An extremely well built and sturdy printer it gives much needed versatility and flexibility to an industry that has traditionally had to settle for less on five-metre wide printers. Eighteen Spectra printheads makes the JETi 5000 the fastest five-metre printer in the market today.
The JETi 3150 UV flatbed has a bedsize of 1,5 metres by 3 metres and is the first UV Flatbed incorporating the ability to print large, rigid materials with ease of loading and unloading. It incorporates double the Spectra print heads with an apparent 1200 dpi and many more features that give unsurpassed flexibility and quality.
All models can print on a variety of substrates including reinforced vinyl, pressure-sensitive vinyl, canvas, fabrics, mesh and paper. The solvent-based inks offer ultraviolet durability of up to three years unlaminated, depending on the environment in which the print is used.
"The JETi printers complement our existing product line by adding a grand format size for producing oversized outdoor-durable graphics," says Ocè South Africa's Wojciech Skrzeszewski. "This enables us to offer the broadest product portfolio in the industry, from low- to high-end, including solvent, UV-durable and photo laser technologies, across roll-based and flatbed platforms.
"Overseas customers have commented on the remarkable engineering features that work automatically on the JETi and the easy to use software and user-interface. Finally, a super wide format printer that takes the customer into account."
