Intergraph Computer Systems has announced that its Zx10 VE (ViZual Engine) workstation with Wahoo Technology has firmly established itself as the industry's fastest graphics workstation based on the latest industry benchmarks, including Pro/ENGINEER 2000i, SolidWorks 99, Viewperf 6.1 and the new Unigraphics V15 benchmark.

On the Pro/ENGINEER benchmark, the Zx10 VE is the first workstation ever to break the '10' barrier (10.18), with the next-closest competitor scoring a full 12,7% lower. The results demonstrate the superiority of the Zx10 VE's Wahoo Technology-based architecture over workstations from Compaq, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and SGI. * The Zx10 VE with Wildcat 4210 graphics is consistently the top scorer on the SPECviewperf 6.1.1 benchmarks.

* Intergraph Computer Systems is the first vendor to break the '10' barrier (10.18) on the Pro/ENGINEER 2000i benchmark by a wide margin-the next-highest score is 12,7% lower.

* Intergraph's Zx10 VE outperformed SGI's highest-posted Viewperf scores by over 100%.
