Encad has recently shipped its 100 000th printer. The milestone NovaJetAE PRO 600e printer was sold to 2G Graphic in Paris, France, through Encad's French distributor Noblet Groupe. 2G Graphic is a print-for-pay business that provides its public relations agency, photographer and advertising agency customers with professional quality prints, enlargements and advertising signage.

The NovaJet was claimed to be the first affordable wide-format inkjet printer to reach the market. Since the introduction of the first model in 19", a diverse line of NovaJet printers has been designed and manufactured by Encad. The NovaJet family now includes a full complement of seven, four-colour printer models that offer 300 or 600 dpi print capabilities on a variety of substrates. Used by thousands, the NovaJet has become the symbol of innovation, productivity, and value. Encad says that it has shipped more wide-format inkjet printers worldwide, than any other company.

"NovaJet printers have set the standard for the wide-format inkjet printing industry," states Don Yates, General Manager at First Graphics' Digital Imaging, local distributor of Encad products. "Reaching the 100 000th shipment mark is further indication of the market's enthusiastic response to Encad's printing solutions."

Vincent Thebout, Managing Director at 2G Graphic, which now owns two NovaJet printers, said: "Our first was a NovaJet PRO 60e. After learning about the outstanding production capabilities and robust print feature set of the new PRO 600e series, the decision to purchase was obvious." Their two NovaJet PRO printers enable 2G Graphic to deliver both 300 and 600 dpi images for their graphic arts and print-for-pay customers. "The flexibility of having both the 300 and 600 dpi machines means there is virtually no job we cannot handle," Thebout said.

Production at 2G offers Encad's Graphic Standard (GS) and Graphic Outdoor (GO) ink sets complemented by a wide range of Quality Imaging Supplies99 (QIS) indoor and outdoor media.

Encad is celebrating the milestone shipment by providing 2G Graphic with a lifetime warranty for its NovaJet PRO 600e printer along with a six-month supply of QIS Ink and Media. "We were pleased to be the fortunate recipient of the 100 000th printer and the lifetime warranty," Thebout said. "The free supplies were an unexpected bonus."
