Extraordinary service: urgently needed, printers supplied and set up in record time

In 1999 Graficomp broke the records with the single biggest order of its kind in the world by supplying the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) with nine Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 2500CP large format printers. The nine printers were up and running within two days.
In May 2000 the IEC traded all nine HP 2500CP printers in and purchased four HP DesignJet 1055CM from Graficomp. The four HP1055CM printers were up and running in one day.
The HP 2500CP printers, which Graficomp bought back, will be refurbished by Graficomp Technical, which is the only Hewlett-Packard DesignJet certified repair centre. Their staff complement is made up of Hewlett-Packard certified engineers who are endorsed and have been internationally trained by Hewlett-Packard to repair the entire range of HP plotters and large format printers.
According to Michael Ford of the IEC, they decided that the HP1055CM was more suited for their GIS application. The HP 1055CM is four times faster than the HP 2500CP, which was designed as a graphics machine. He said that at the time of purchase, the HP2500CP was best option on the market.
