New wide-format printer promises lower cost of entry

1 July 2001

Encad, distributed locally by First Graphics, has announced the availability of its NovaJet 750 wide-format printer. The printer offers Microburst, a thermal drying system, and an improved 3-pass production-printing mode. Its ability to offer a lower cost entry into high production, versatile print application environments is ideal for sign shops, service bureaus, and exhibit builders. The 750 is designed for increased productivity and is a complement to Encad's award-winning family of NovaJet Series wide-format printers.
According to Eric Morgan, National Sales Manager, Digital Imaging Division at First Graphics, sole South African distributor of Encad's wide-format inkjet printers, the NovaJet 750 is designed to satisfy the market's demand for increased productivity and a shorter total-time-to-print solution. "As a replacement for the NovaJet 700, the new NovaJet 750 sets a new standard for four-colour inkjet productivity with its improved 3-pass print production mode. Its new thermal dryer offers users the ability to produce more useable prints, in less time, than any other comparably priced printer in the industry."
Utilising Encad's patented Microburst Technology, the NovaJet 750 controls precise pulse formation, exact ink drop velocity and meticulous ink drop accuracy. Its eight ink reservoirs provide the flexibility to incorporate both indoor dye-based inks and outdoor pigment-based inks concurrently, and to effortlessly switch back and forth between the inks as the printing application requires. In addition, the thermal dryer gives the NovaJet 750 immediate take-up capabilities providing print-to-lamination times that are highly competitive. The printer is available in 42" and 60".
