Having joined with Epson as a Partner Plus Team Epson reseller last year, First Graphics is continuing to extend its service and solutions in the Epson arena. Jeannine Hart and René Digovich have worked closely together in selling Epson desk-top solutions and have been supported at the other end of the spectrum by Billy Whitehair and Rory Kelly, both experts in Epson's wide format offerings.

Orders processed for the desktop publishing environment and office solutions include desktop scanners, printers and digital cameras, with projectors in the pipeline. Both Hart and Digovich say that the Epson brand represents a good proportion of their sales.

Hart explains: "I have dealt with the product for a long time now and its good back-up and support makes it an easy product to sell. This is largely thanks to the Epson Express Warranty. If a piece of equipment fails, the customer is able to take it into an express centre. There, a five-point check will be done and if the Epson team cannot repair it on the spot, the customer gets to take a refurbished unit away. This replaces the old system in which the customer is subjected to downtime while waiting to get equipment back - something that is particularly important in the DTP environment." The latest inkjet and laser printers, the LX-300 dot matrix printer and digital cameras all fall under this warranty exchange programme, which is known as the Epson standard one-year return to base (RTB) warranty.
