Entry level laser printer

1 April 2002

Epson's new entry-level A4 laser printer, the AcuLaser C1000 offers an engine speed of 5 pages per minute colour, 20 pages per minute mono and provides quality output of up to 2400 dpi with EPSON's AcuLaser RiTech.
Hans Dummer, general manager Epson South Africa, comments, "The AcuLaser C1000 complements the EPSON AcuLaser range, ensuring EPSON can now offer a colour laser to suit every office. As the entry level offering, the AcuLaser C1000 does not compromise on quality or speed and ensures that even small businesses whatever their budget can afford a high quality colour laser for fast, large volume printing."
Epson has incorporated advanced imaging technologies into the printer to provide quality colour printing. Fine Dot Control Technology allows a resolution up to 2400 dpi, while Epson Colour RITech eliminates dotted or jagged lines, providing a smooth, crisp finish. Line screening and colour correction is carried out automatically with Intelligent Line Screening Technology.
Further, it distinguishes between photos, text and line drawings to ensure maximum quality output, where it is needed. In addition, low resolution images are enhanced with EPSON AcuLaser PhotoEnhance 4.
The AcuLaser C1000 range is available in two variations viz the C1000 (Standard) - with 16 MB Memory, 150 sheet MP tray, 500 sheet cassette and the C1000N (network) - standard version with the addition of a 10/100BaseTX network card interface.
