Colour and monochrome at the same speed

1 August 2002

Minolta South Africa has introduced the new CF2001P colour printer to its range of colour copiers and printers. The CF2001P is the printer-only version of the award winning CF2001 colour printer/copier and prints 20 pages per minute in colour and black and white.
Minolta colour division manager, Marianna Gdanis, says the CF2001P combines all the advantages of full colour printing with the high-volume productivity features normally associated with copying. "Minolta's expertise as a copier manufacturer brings the user unmatched versatility in an office printer including A3 full bleed, OHP transparencies straight from the cassette, paper of up to 209 g/m2, all kinds of materials from the multipurpose cassette, and a wide range of optional finishing features," she says.
These optional finishing features include 4-hole punching, corner and two-point stapling and stackless, full-speed duplex printing.
Gdanis says the CF2001P's ability to print at the same speed in colour and black and white is as a result of Minolta's innovative CF colour technology which enables colour prints to print at the same engine speed as black and white prints using a tandem processing system. "Each colour has its own imaging unit and this enables the paper to pass through the printer once only, resulting in reliability and very fast colour prints and copies," she says.
