Hewlett-Packard has unveiled a new colour inkjet printer, the HP Deskjet 6122 which is aimed at offering professional print quality, fast print speeds and productivity enhancing features, making it suitable for any small business and home office user.

Designed to meet the needs of office professionals, and with up to 4800 x 1200 optimised dpi colour printing on premium photo papers, and using HP's Phototret III precision technology, the printer delivers enhanced photo quality for professional looking results.

The Deskjet demonstrates efficient paper handling through a variety of advanced features. An automatic two-sided printing accessory is included in both products as standard, saving paper by printing on both sides of a page. The printer also has an optional second paper tray offering a combined total capacity of 400 sheets of paper. In addition, the automatic paper type sensor features an intelligent printing solution that provides optimised printing results instantly. The printer uses an optical sensor that automatically detects the type of paper in the tray, providing the best results on a wide range of plain, photo and transparency papers.

The one-touch print cancel button makes it easy to terminate a print job while the ink level indicator warns users when print cartridges are running low on ink, providing professionals with ease of use and convenience. The HP Deskjet 6122 offers both USB and parallel connectivity. It can also be integrated into a network by using an optional HP Jetdirect wired or wireless print accessory.
