CAD and GIS printing solution bundled on copier

1 February 2003

ZEH Software (ZEH), a leading software development company specialising in enterprise-wide network printing and plotting solutions, has extended its relationship with HP to provide ZEHRaster Plus for the HP DesignJet copier cc800ps. ZEHRaster Plus is a Unix and Microsoft Windows-based printing solution that simplifies complex graphic imaging, enabling the user to access and print a host of file formats.
The HP device gives technical workgroups and GIS professionals the convenience of in-house colour copying, printing and scanning large-format documents for less than the cost of digital monochrome alternatives. Its integrated design and small footprint means the HP DesignJet copier cc800ps can be placed almost anywhere - and there is no need for an external PC for standalone copying.
"Users want efficiency, productivity and profitability and they will do just about anything to avoid problems with printing and plotting," said Michael Wheeler, ZEH's director of marketing. ZEHRaster Plus makes it possible to process and print complex CAD and GIS output and large modelling files in significantly less time than previously required.
"With the ZEHRaster Plus application, CAD and GIS application users now have the ability to send their output directly to their new HP DesignJet copier cc800ps," said Manel Martinez, large-format current business manager, HP inkjet commercial division.
"Unix and Windows NT users can simplify complicated graphic imaging for quick access and printing of high-quality graphic files on their HP DesignJet copier cc800ps. This will extend the usability and functionality of the HP Designjet family dramatically, while improving user productivity," he concludes.
ZEH Software is represented locally by Aisel Systems.
