Efficient document management system

1 June 2003

The efficient production of technical documents plays a critical role in a company's ability to innovate fast enough. In many architectural and engineering projects, there are increasing time constraints owing to concurrent processes and increased competition. Projects are being managed on quality, budgets and time. Many people in the industry find the distribution of documents extremely time-consuming when it comes to generating tenders during a project. These tenders can include hundreds of plans, specifications and cost sheets.
The Océ TDS600 addresses these factors and ensures effective handling of technical document printing, copying, scan-to-file and finishing in workgroup or central environments, including submitting print jobs, and scanning to any location using the Internet.
The system's productivity reduces waiting time and allows users to get on with other core tasks. Its enhanced 400 dpi print resolution means that every print is of a good quality. The multifunctionality and ability to run up to seven on-line media types, furthermore, satisfy many different needs. The system also has advanced spooling and queue management. Plus sophisticated set processing, to handle complex jobs; real concurrency, so printing, copying and scan-to-file can be performed simultaneously.
The TDS600 has integrated printer drivers for AutoCAD, Windows and Adobe PostScript/PDF and is modular, thereby allowing one to purchase only the components that are required.
