Fast, feature-rich binary raster editor available

1 December 2000

Intergraph has announced new enhancements to its mature hybrid raster/vector editor, I/RAS B. The tight integration between MicroStation and I/RAS B 6.0 provides customers with a powerful draughting environment upon which raster data can be revised, restored and created.
With the latest version, I/RAS B continues to support MicroStation-based editing for bi-level and CRL raster formats with a complete set of tools for revising large-format scanned engineering drawings and maps. It also supplies the drawing cleanup and correction tools to which I/RAS B users are accustomed, while offering the fastest, most reliable and feature-rich binary raster editor available for MicroStation to date.
New features now available from I/RAS B 6.0 include graphical user interface (GUI) enhancements and GeoTiff file format support. With I/RAS B, users can now open, edit and save files across the network with universal naming convention (UNC). Certified to run seamlessly on top of MicroStation 95, SE and J without the need for patches, I/RAS B is now fully compliant for the year 2000. It supports three different methods of plotting: standalone plotting through MicroStation, standalone direct-raster plotting, and network plotting with Intergraph's InterPlot product suite. Users will also find new online documentation and help sources are available to them via Intergraph's Imaging Systems Internet site, as well as the online Knowledge Base. In addition, since I/RAS B is a native MDL application, it runs seamlessly with other third-party engineering, mapping or MicroStation GIS software.
A computer industry pioneer, Intergraph provides a diverse range of comprehensive engineering, mapping/GIS, emergency management, and IT solutions (hardware, software and services) for the process and building, utilities and transportation industries and for local and national governments.
