A team from Best enthralled their audience at the recent Graphics and Sign Africa show with an in-depth demonstration of the capabilities of Best Screenproof software.

Hosted by First Graphics, Best's Christoph Herzog and Dirk Prinz illustrated the contribution that Best Screenproof can make to the local newspaper industry. Herzog says, "The printing industry is moving increasingly towards a situation where image files are sent directly from a computer to an imagesetter or press. The benefit of Best Screenproof is that it reduces consumables, cuts labour costs and streamlines the work involved in getting a job to press."

"It allows checks to be carried out in the early stages of the printing process, reducing the likelihood of errors, which in turn leads to wasted ink, paper and time. Best Screenproof allows you to optimise the digital workflow by introducing predictable production cycles. Aimed at the print media industry, Best Screenproof enables digital inkjet printers to accurately replicate the press. The user is able to obtain colour-accurate original screen proofs on inkjet drop-on-demand printing systems based on the international colour consortium (ICC) industry standard.
