Xerox comes out tops in industry analysts survey

1 August 2003

Xerox's office multifunction systems were rated highest among competitors in performance, functionality and effectiveness in the 2003 annual multifunction product user survey conducted by Industry Analysts, a marketing, management and product testing firm in the USA. Xerox multifunction devices include the newly unveiled WorkCentre and WorkCentre Pro lines, as well as Document Centre systems, which are available in South Africa.
Said Jim Miller, president, Xerox Office Group: "Our commitment to build high-quality multifunction systems has been validated by the people who matter most - our customers."
Industry Analysts sent out thousands of surveys. Responses covered more than 300 multifunction products. The survey defined a multifunction product as a platen-based device supporting at least two of the four traditional office functions (copying, scanning, faxing and printing).
This is the second end user study conducted by Industry Analysts this year in which Xerox finished first. In March, Xerox printers earned top honours for the second consecutive year. Industry Analysts' printer survey included data from more than 200 companies representing more than 1000 printers from vendors. The Xerox printer line consists of Phaser colour and monochrome products.
