AutoCAD 2000-based product retirement

Autodesk has announced the retirement of all AutoCAD 2000-based products. This means that the company discontinues its advantageous `upgrade' pricing when moving to the latest version. It has therefore advised users of all AutoCAD 2000-based products that `upgrades' to the latest software will no longer be available after 15 January 2004. AutoCAD 2000-based products to be retired include:
* AutoCAD 2000.
* AutoCAD LT 2000.
* Autodesk Architectural Desktop R2.
* AutoCAD Mechanical 2000.
* Mechanical Desktop R4.
* Autodesk Map 2000.
* CAD Overlay 2000.
* Autodesk Land Desktop R2.
* AutoCAD LT 2000.
* Autodesk Architectural Desktop R2.
* AutoCAD Mechanical 2000.
* Mechanical Desktop R4.
* Autodesk Map 2000.
* CAD Overlay 2000.
* Autodesk Land Desktop R2.
The company is now taking orders for the Autodesk 2004 range of products.
