Following a successful key client and reseller conference, TotalCAD Solution Centre has partnered with a further seven universities and technikons in southern Africa, to bring ArchiCAD to the architectural and urban design labs of these institutions.

The Universities of Natal, Port Elizabeth, Maputo, Witwatersrand, the Durban Institute of Technology, Technikon Pretoria and Technikon Witwatersrand have all partnered with TotalCAD to provide cutting edge building design technology. The value of the sponsorship is approximately R2 million. Through its 'Staff Placement' programme, students from partner institutions will also be given the opportunity to work at professional practices on a temporary or permanent basis around southern Africa.

TotalCAD is sponsoring the students to give them the much-needed leg-up into the job market, as well as to develop their skills as aspiring architects. More details about the 'Educational Partner' or the 'Staff Placement' programmes can be obtained from webmaster@archicad.co.za
