Underlining its belief in the on-line revolution, Computer Faire has launched an On-Line Business Club, which will consist of a select group of IT professionals who rely on focused trade exhibitions to help them achieve specific business objectives.

Membership of the Club is exclusively open to decision-makers who visited one of Computer Faire's three shows in Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban last year. Computer Faire organiser, Celeste Abroms, expects membership of the Club to reach 20 000 by May - in time for Computer Faire 2000 in Johannesburg.

Computer Faire 2000, to be held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg from 24-27 May, is organised annually by TML Reed Exhibitions, a dynamic partnership between Times Media, one of South Africa's leading media groups, and Reed Exhibitions, the world's leading organiser of trade and public shows.

"The On-Line Business Club is not an e-commerce site but will rather act as a facilitator between our visitors and our exhibitors for 12 months of the year rather than only the days of the events," explains Abroms.

Benefits of being a member are numerous, and include free entrance to any of the shows, continuous access to the latest information about suppliers, products, specials and competitions offered by Computer Faire exhibitors as well as trend-setting articles by leading IT journalists and a monthly summary of industry news. Membership cards will also offer easy entry onto the databases of participating exhibitors by swiping their cards at the exhibitor stands. A monthly competition will feature top-notch prizes such as notebook computers and software.
