Computer Faire

1 February 2000

The second Computer Faire to be held in KwaZulu-Natal is only a few weeks away and organisers are expecting it to surpass the success of last year's inaugural show.
Last year the total number of visitors passed the 15 000 mark with more than 8000 of those being business executives. With exhibitor sales already ahead of last year, this figure is expected to grow for this year's event which takes place at the International Convention Centre from 9-11 March. More than 61 blue chip organisations, including Symantec SA, Novell, Gateway, Navision, M-Web and Telkom, have taken space. The show is organised annually by TML Reed Exhibitions, a partnership between Times Media Limited and Reed Exhibitions.
Says Celeste Abroms, Computer Faire Exhibition Organiser: "Businesses in KwaZulu-Natal have demonstrated their hunger for finding out about the latest technologies and solutions. As a result many of our exhibitors booked their space immediately after the success of the 1999 show. As Computer Faire positions itself at the business-to-business market, exhibitor comments about the quality of visitors in 1999 were gratifying."
Electronic commerce solutions, mobile communications, office automation equipment and GIS CAD/CAM/CAE technology will be primary attractions at this year's Faire. Abroms has encouraged visitors to visit www.cfaire.co.za to find out more about the show and participating exhibitors. "Every indication is that the show in 2000 will be bigger and better, consolidating its position as the major annual IT event in the province," concludes Abroms.
