The IT Cape Expo 2000 will be held from 6 to 8 June 2000 at the Good Hope Centre, Cape Town. Officially endorsed by the IT Association (ITA) of South Africa, the exhibition is promoted as a business-to-business IT exhibition. The ITA believes that the show, organised by INTEX (Information Technology Exhibitions), is the ideal vehicle for members to market themselves to their various target markets and to realise a business-focused computer fair in the Western Cape.

The ITA will be closely involved and is planning various events for members to coincide with the exhibition. Feedback session from the national ITA office on various national initiatives, such as SAITIS, will also form part of the line-up. This is not just another computer fair. It is billed to be the biggest and best IT & Business Technology Exhibition ever to be held in Cape Town. Following on the success of the IT Cape Expo 99, several new value-added dimensions are in store to make IT Cape Expo 2000 a unique show, catering specifically for the business sector focussing on business solutions and business systems.

New and exciting displays will include:

* A business solutions conference.

* As part of the exhibition, a high-level conference will be organised, attracting high profile attendance.

* Telecommunications and call centres.

* Incorporating computer technology and customer management.

* Data warehousing consisting of documentation and data storage solutions.

* Facilities management.

* Focus on building and design practices, space and environment planning, catering, cleaning and energy management.

* Office technology: featuring a comprehensive display of office technology and business intelligence with exhibits such as computer hardware and office equipment, and products and services for the communications and security industry.

* CADDEX 2000.

* The 6th Cape Expo for the computer aided draughting and design industry will form part of IT Cape Expo 2000.

* Computer graphics.

* To complete the bill, computer graphics and marketing technology including hi-tech signage, will also feature.

The show will target decision-makers in commerce and industry, and in the professional and public sectors, including directors, senior managers, purchasing managers, and IT and IS managers. This year's fair is therefore suitably aimed at business-to-business IT. Exhibition space at the fair is selling fast with all exhibitors from IT Cape Expo 99 expressing keen interest in participating once again.
