Rasterex, a provider of image processing and technical data management software, has released Version 5.02 of its RxRaster PRO software.

RxRaster PRO Version 5.02 supports the newly released AutoCAD 2002 and AutoCAD LT2002, and in addition AutoCAD R14/2000(i)/2002 and AutoCAD LT97/98/2000(i)/2002. Version 5.02 also includes a new standalone raster-to-vector conversion program called RxVectory.

RxRaster PRO is a family of advanced raster and hybrid editors, supporting the Windows platform, operating as either standalone applications (RxSpotlight) or from within AutoCAD (RxAutoImage). Image data can be cleaned, edited and converted into intelligent CAD vectors. RxRaster PRO is typically used by mechanical design engineers, architects, structural/civil engineers and cartographers in helping them overcome the problems of working with paper-based drawings in a digital environment.

RxRaster PRO Version 5.02 provides new features such as: direct scan input, fast clean-up and alignment of raster images after scanning, full hybrid editing, rubber sheeting, colour management and separation, interactive tracing and line-following tools, symbol recognition and replacement, OCR module for text recognition, hybrid plotting and RasterDWG hybrid file support.
