Acquisition is good news for First Graphics

In response to the recent acquisition of Encad by Kodak, Keith Solomon, Director Imaging Systems at First Graphics, has reacted positively.
Encad, one of the world's largest sellers of wide-format digital printers and inkjet products, was acquired by Kodak in January. The new entity is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kodak that will continue to be focused exclusively on the wide-format inkjet printing industry.
"It is good news for us! The new company is a complete wide-format inkjet resource. By combining Kodak's leading-edge printer technology and its expertise in colour science and imaging with Encad's renowned wide-format expertise and its excellent industry relationships worldwide, Encad will offer a portfolio of solutions unmatched in the wide-format inkjet industry," explained Solomon.
