Translation Technologies a developer of software that delivers fully modifiable Computer Aided Design (CAD) translations, recently joined the PTC Enterprise Software Partner program. The partnership broadens user access to Acc-u-Trans, TTI's translation software, which provides users of CAD systems such as PTC's Pro/ENGINEER with an effective solution for addressing interoperability problems between CAD systems.

The manual effort required to exchange data from diverse CAD systems and the cost of housing multiple systems to communicate with business partners throughout the manufacturing supply chain add considerable time and expense to a project. A study conducted by the Research Triangle Institute estimates interoperability costs in the US automotive industry alone at more than $1 billion annually.

"TTI's current Pro/ENGINEER customers have had great success with Acc-u-Trans," said Tom Kopinski, TTI's executive vice president. "This partnership means a broader base of Pro/ENGINEER users will now be able to benefit from our feature-based translations."
