First Graphics has signed a distribution agreement with Encad Inc whereby First Graphics remains the South African importer of the Encad product range, viz the Encad thermal inkjet printers and consumables (inks and media). Encad is now a Kodak Company after being acquired in January this year. Eric Morgan, First Graphics Digital Imaging national sales manager, says: "This means that it continues to be business as usual. We are pleased that Encad now has such a world-renowned company as a big brother.

Protea Digital Imaging, with whom we have had a long-established working relationship, will likewise continue with Kodak-branded equipment and media and can also offer Encad-branded products. We look forward to a continued close working relationship with them." He noted that First Graphics will also offer the Kodak product range, adding: "We see the Kodak acquisition of Encad as a huge opportunity to utilise Kodak's resources to offer the latest technology to the local and African markets."

First Graphics has branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth, as well as an export branch that deals with countries throughout Africa.
