Autodesk appoints educational programme administrator

1 October 2002

Lisa Rautenbach has been appointed educational programme administrator at WorldsView Technologies, distributor of Autodesk manufacturing and built environment-specific design technologies.
Dedicated to marketing design technologies to high schools and tertiary institutions, Rautenbach and a countrywide network of Autodesk resellers audit institutions' design technology requirements, implement appropriate technologies and provide training for lecturers and teachers. As part of its commitment to the education market, Autodesk makes world-class design technologies available to educational institutions at less than 10% of their commercial value.
"Education is facing challenges on all fronts," says Raubenbach. "By offering educational software at affordable prices Autodesk aims to facilitate a successful drive towards overcoming some of these challenges." She says she is committed to education and training as a tool to empower learners to take advantage of technological advancements.
