Autodesk introduces certification programme

1 December 2002

Helping manufacturers in their ongoing quest for maximum efficiency, Autodesk has put in place a certification programme to reassure prospective customers of the highest level of interoperability between 3rd party software applications and Autodesk Inventor mechanical design software.
The programme certifies applications that have met standards set by Autodesk to ensure robustness, quality, and maximum interoperability with Autodesk Inventor mechanical design software. The first 30 applications certified by Autodesk range from mould-making and data management to sheet metal production.
The third-party applications help manufacturing companies across multiple disciplines accelerate their design-through-manufacturing process and slash time-to-market of their products.
"At Autodesk we have gone a step further than simply advising customers of the availability of third party applications they can use with our design software," explains Errol Ashwell, managing director of Autodesk Africa. "We have put the applications through stringent testing. We can now recommend third-party applications, which passed our certification programme, with confidence."
