Earth Resource Mapping (ERM) and Golden State Resources (GSR) recently announced a joint venture to form EzyImage Limited, a new Internet company. EzyImage will exploit ERM's revolutionary new Image Web Server technology for on-line Internet markets including digital photo albums, real estate and document archival. The Image Web Server makes Internet-based solutions a reality for markets that require fast access and viewing of really large images. For example, users can view TerraByte images (1000 GB or 1600 CD-ROMs) in realtime over the Internet – even over slow modems.

Under an agreement with Earth Resource Mapping, EzyImage will use the Image Web Server for worldwide markets, and has an exclusive Australian licence to sell Image Web Server into selected markets. EzyImage's appointment will complement Earth Resource Mapping's existing distributors in the geospatial markets, including NGIS, Geoimage, Encom and Digital Earth.

Proposed IPO

It is intended that the parties will move quickly to an IPO for EasyImage in Australia. The EzyImage board will comprise three Golden State Resources representatives and two Earth Resource Mapping representatives. The CEO will be appointed following an international search prior to the planned EzyImage float ('IPO'). Subject to any regulatory requirements, Golden State will be entitled to offer such number of EzyImage shares in the IPO to existing Golden State shareholders or to other parties as it may determine.

Application of technology

Earth Resource Mapping's new technology allows the development of groundbreaking Internet platforms that use high-definition imagery over the Internet to a degree not before possible. EzyImage will proceed to the development of commerce oriented websites that take advantage of the speed of image download and image interaction possible with Image Web Server.

Earth Resource Mapping advises that negotiations are also well advanced for a medical imagery distribution agreement, expected to be finalised shortly.
