Bentley Systems now offers the GeoGraphics SELECT Series to all Bentley Geoengineering SELECT subscribers. The GeoGraphics SELEC Series combines some of the existing Geoengineering software products into a more powerful and comprehensive solution. As a result, all SELECT subscribers using MicroStation GeoGraphics will also be able to download MicroStation GeoCoordinator 7.0 and MicroStation GeoParcel 7.0 at no charge. All of these applications can be downloaded by SELECT subscribers directly from SELECT Stream or by ordering MySELECTCD from Bentley.

As part of this GeoGraphics SELECT Series, Bentley also announces a new Geoengineering tool called MicroStation GeoScripts. Available to all Bentley SELECTSM subscribers using MicroStation GeoGraphics, MicroStation Geo-Scripts is a generic geoengineering reporting tool designed for MicroStation GeoGraphics. Micro-Station GeoScripts will be available in the second quarter of 2000.

In the third quarter of 2000, Bentley stream enhancements will offer MicroStation GeoAddress as part of the SELECT program, again at a no cost and no annual support fees. MicroStation GeoParcel, MicroStation GeoAddress and MicroStation GeoCoordinator will no longer be sold as add-on products, but will become an integrated deliverable with the MicroStation GeoGraphics product.

MicroStation GeoParcel is the universal land base systems for all geoengineering workflows, GIS or infrastructure. Its interface and workflow operations are tailored for land base professionals including planners and tax assessors. By streamlining workflow and data-management processes, Micro-Station GeoParcel spatially enables cadastral information throughout the enterprise. Using Bentley's Model-Server Discovery, MicroStation GeoParcel information can be accessed by the public at large.

MicroStation GeoCoordinator is a projection management system designed exclusively for Micro-Station. It assigns coordinate systems to individual maps, acknowledges coordinates from any assigned projection system and converts MicroStation data from one coordinate system to another. Users can also generate map grids based on any supported Coordinate System. Bentley SELECT users of MicroStation GeoCoordinator can purchase the MicroStation GeoGraphics engineering configuration for a limited time for $995. MicroStation GeoCoordinator can be added either to straight MicroStation configurations or to MicroStation GeoGraphics configurations.

MicroStation GeoScripts also provides the user with the ability to quickly generate scripts using simple syntax to create spatial and a-spatial reports. In addition, MicroStation GeoScripts provides tools to manipulate, analyse and report both graphical and attribute values from a database, using simple commands. MicroStation Geo-Scripts also has tools for importing ArcView and MapInfo files into MicroStation GeoGraphics sessions.
